Rehearsal dinners are the perfect time for you to have a fun, relaxing meal with the people you’re closest with. It’s also a great time to thank them for their support over your engagement, and maybe even offer them gifts of appreciation. However, finding the perfect rehearsal dinner location can be daunting. So, we’ve made a list of a few of our favorite rehearsal dinner locations in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa area.
The first time I went to Butcher Block Steakhouse, I remember walking in and being utterly shocked by the immense size of the restaurant, and excited to see a fish tank. Yes, these are the things I remember. As far as rehearsal dinners go though, you’ll have ample space in their private dining area – which is complete with a private bar.
My favorite menu item: Duck Wontons and the Baja Burger
Zeppelins is my favorite restaurant in Cedar Rapids, period, hands down. They have the perfect room toward the back of the restaurant for parties, like rehearsal dinners, and you’ll love the atmosphere there!
My favorite menu item: Smokehouse Turkey Burger and Parm Fries
The vibe inside Black Sheep Social Club is such a local beauty. They do things just a little bit differently, by putting a twist on midwest meals. Plus, you know I can’t resist beautiful chandeliers!
My favorite menu item: Smoked Blueberry Burger
If you can find this local gem, you’re in for a treat for your rehearsal dinner! This dark and delicious restaurant is perfect for a laid back rehearsal dinner.
My favorite menu item: Crab Rangoon Pizza
The atmosphere inside of The Edison is so much fun. It’s all inspired by Thomas Edison’s inventions – even the drink menu! They host all kinds of private parties, so it’s perfect for your rehearsal dinner!
My favorite menu item: Baked Mac and Cheese
Taking a shift to Italian eats, a Biaggi’s rehearsal dinner would be a crowd pleasure for sure! They’re conveniently located on Collins Road in Cedar Rapids, and have an event coordinator who would be happy to help you have the best rehearsal dinner ever.
My favorite menu item: Spaghetti and Meatballs
Okay, Napoli’s is technically in Marion, but you won’t regret making the short trip there for your rehearsal dinner. This Italian restaurant brings a little bit of Italy to Iowa, and we love it!
My favorite menu item: Spaghetti with Meat Sauce
Fun fact about Leonardo’s: My dad and brother ate there for dinner the day I was born. This retro pizza joint with a private dining room will leave you in awe. I’m talking red booths, juke boxes on the walls of each table, and what I call “the cookie dough wall” (you’ll see what I mean when you go there). Pizza is perfect for a casual rehearsal dinner!
My favorite menu item: Their pepperoni pizza can’t be beat!
From the outside, you might not think much of El Bajio, but once you taste the food – you’ll understand why it’s on this list. If you’re craving tacos for your rehearsal dinner – you don’t need to look any farther than El Bajio. It really just speaks for itself.
My favorite menu item: Mexican style tacos al pastor
